Alternatives- BPA-Free Bottles



Parents everywhere are wondering, where do I find the perfect bisphenol A-free baby bottle?  The more media, the more consumer pressure, the more companies are making baby bottles from alternative forms of plastics (not polycarbonate). Check out some of the companies offering alternatives.

Adiri has a new Natural Nurser line that is bisphenol A-free. It retails only in the U.S. but you can buy it online. www.adiri.com

BornFree-Baby products manufacturer BornFree only manufactures and sells baby bottles that are bisphenol A-free.  The bottles are available online and at local retailers. www.newbornfree.com

Evenflo- Makes glass bottles and its Comfort Select plastic line does not contain bisphenol A. www.evenflo.com

Green to Grow- bottles are bisphenol A-free and phthalate-free.

Klean Kanteen- Stainless steel interior and exterior. Comes with a sippy cup lid.

MAM- ‘Care’ bottles are bisphenol A-free, but other products are n ot. Available online.

Also, bottles should not be subjected to high temperatures; instead wash them in the sink with warm water and soap and let them air dry. Do not microwave your plastic bottles because this unevenly heats the plastic and can cause chemicals to leach from the bottles. Warm bottles in a pan of hot water instead.
